Submitting to Podcast Directories
Tutorial Steps
Once you have at least one published episode, you can submit your podcast to directories. This tutorial walks you through the submission process for all major platforms.
Find your RSS feed URL
~1 minYour RSS feed URL is essential for directory submissions.
Find it in your Dispatch dashboard:
- Go to Settings → Distribution
- Copy your RSS feed URL
- It looks like:
https://feeds.dispatch.fm/your-podcast
Keep this URL handy—you'll need it for each directory.
Submit to Apple Podcasts
~5 minApple Podcasts is the largest podcast directory:
- Go to podcasters.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Click "+" to add a show
- Paste your RSS feed URL
- Validate and submit
Approval typically takes 1-5 business days.
Submit to Spotify
~5 minSpotify for Podcasters:
- Visit podcasters.spotify.com
- Log in or create a Spotify account
- Click "Get Started"
- Paste your RSS feed URL
- Verify ownership and submit
Spotify approval is usually within 24 hours.
Submit to other directories
~10 minExpand your reach with these platforms:
- Amazon Music: music.amazon.com/podcasters
- iHeartRadio: podcasters.iheart.com
- Podcast Index: podcastindex.org
- Stitcher: partners.stitcher.com
Most directories automatically sync with your RSS feed once approved.
