Legal Cookies Policy

Last updated: February 18, 2026

This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, how Dispatch FM, LLC ("Dispatch," "we," "us," or "our") uses them on dispatch.fm and app.dispatch.fm (the "Service"), and what choices you have regarding their use. For more information on how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, function more efficiently, and provide information to site owners. Cookies do not typically contain information that directly identifies you, but they may be linked to personal information we hold about you.

Cookies can be:

  • Session cookies — Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — Cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies — Set directly by Dispatch.
  • Third-party cookies — Set by external services we use (e.g., payment processors, authentication providers).

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

Type: Session and Persistent  |  Set by: Dispatch

These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They include:

  • Authentication cookies — Keep you logged in to your account across pages and sessions. Without these, you would need to sign in on every page.
  • Session security cookies — Protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks.
  • Load balancing cookies — Ensure requests are routed consistently to the same server during a session.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary for delivering the Service, they are active at all times and cannot be turned off through our Service.

2.2 Functional Cookies

Type: Persistent  |  Set by: Dispatch

These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as your time zone, display preferences, and remembered login details. Disabling them may result in reduced functionality or a less personalized experience.

2.3 Analytics Cookies

Type: Persistent  |  Set by: Dispatch and third-party providers

We use analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Service in aggregate — such as which pages are most visited, where traffic comes from, and how features are used. This data helps us improve the Service. Analytics data is processed in aggregate and is not used to identify individual users or for advertising purposes.

2.4 Third-Party Service Cookies

When you use certain features of the Service, third-party providers may set cookies on your device. These providers operate under their own privacy and cookie policies:

  • Stripe (payment processing) — Sets cookies to prevent fraud, remember payment state, and comply with financial regulations. Stripe Privacy Policy
  • GitHub, Google, Twitter/X, Facebook (optional sign-in) — If you choose to sign in using a third-party provider, that provider may set cookies in connection with the authentication flow. These cookies are only set if you actively initiate sign-in through that provider.
  • Cloudflare (security and performance) — May set cookies to identify trusted web traffic, protect against bots, and improve performance. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers. We do not place cross-site tracking cookies for behavioral advertising purposes.

3. Your Choices

3.1 Browser Settings

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (Section 2.1) will prevent you from using authenticated features of the Service. Instructions for common browsers:

For all other browsers, refer to your browser's official documentation.

3.2 California Residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information (including cookie data) for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.

3.3 Do Not Track

Our Service does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals, as no uniform standard exists for interpreting them. We will revisit this if an industry standard is adopted.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
